KING’S APPROVAL
NEW GOVERNOR OF INDIAN DISTRICT British Official Wireless (Received January 4, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, January 3. Sir Hyde Gowan is retiring in May, 1938, and the King has approved the appointment of Mr F. V. Wylie, at present resident at Jaipur, to be Governor of the Central Provinces and Berar. in his place. The appointment was made after consultation with the Nizam of Hyderabad and Berar.
