CIRCLIANS DEAR, A Glad New Year, With lots of laughter and good cheer, Is the happy wish I’m sending to Every single one of you. Holidays now have well begun; May they be full of joy and fun— Of sunny days beside the sea, Of happy hours on hill or lea, Of quiet dreams in bushlands cool, Of bathes in some clear river pool; Of leisure hours well spent at home, For those of you who may not roam. And when your holidays are past, And back to school you go at last, I know you will return with zest, And through the year will do your best To work with zeal, to play with joy —A happy, healthy girl or boy. So make Good Resolutions, do, And try your best to keep them, too.
Let one be thoughtfulness to others; Your Mother, Father, sisters, brothers. I’ve heard folk say who far do roam, "There’s nothing like a happy home.” You can be generous and kind, Assisting those who lag behind. Happiness ne’er withholds her smiles From those who help lame dogs o’er stiles. Yes, keep Our you can, You’ll be a happy Circlian. Love to You All, FROM
P.S.—Some fine Christmas Ship toys arrived last week from friends, Circlians, and Old Circlians, and, though late, they were in time to sail with our Ship on its last happy voyage.—Pß.
P.P.S.—I wish to send a very big "Thank-You” to Circlians who sent me little gifts and Christmas greetings—P.P.
