PRINCE’S CLOSE CALL

INVOLVED IN MOTOR ACCIDENT United Prow Awoolatlon—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright AMSTERDAM, November 29. Prince Bernhard of Lelpe-Biesterfeld, husband of Princess Juliana, heiress apparent to the throne of Holland, was injured when his car crashed into a lorry at Andhake. A hospital bulletin reports that the removal of Prince Bernhard to his palace at Seostdyk is not yet possible. His condition, however, is slightly improved. A wound in his face has been stitched. It is believed that the car skidded in trying to avoid the lorry. The front of the car was completely crushed, and it is surprising that the Prince escaped death.

A later message reports that Prince Bernhard's condition is satisfactory. Arrangements have been made to accommodate Queen Wilhelmina and Princess Juliana throughout the night al the hospital.
