LAWN TENNIS
TIMARU DEFEATED B GRADE COMPETITION A fairly stifl breeze marred otherwise good conditions at Maori Park on Saturday, when the second lound of the B grade, section one, tennis competition was played. Most players found the wind exceedingly difficult to. contend with and consequently there was a general lack of confident tennis. Aorangi scored a well merited v’n over Timaru by 12 sets to four. Some close games resulted in the men’s matches; but the Aorangi women were overwhelmingly superior. WAI-ITI B v. TEMUKA B
