Don Ceasar finished a length and a half behind the dead-heaters. Time —Imin 14sec. Following its recent success. Forestage won the Campsie Handicap from Heracles and Minnesota. COURSE RECORD ESTABLISHED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 28, 7.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE, November 28. At the Moonee Valley races the Benefit Purse, of a mile and a quarter, resulted: — Royal Quex, 7.9 (Bailey) 1 Gay. Brocade, 7.7 (Mornemount) .. 2 Komachi. 7.6 (Healey) 3 Fourteen started. Won by two lengths, three-quarters of a length between second and third. Time—2mln 54sec. Sir Simper finished second in the Fund Handicap which was won by Dunloe. The Juvenile handicap was won by Brethren in the course record time for five furlongs of Imin Isec. Namakia and Riddle finished second and third respectively in the Benevolent Highweight Handicap, which was won by Sarokos. END OF CAREER STEVE DONOGHUE’S LAST RACE United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 28, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, November 27. Steve Donoghue ended his career as a jockey when he rode Highlander, who finished third in the Final Plate at Manchester.
