STORMY WEATHER

MAN STRUCK BY LIGHTNING By Telegraph—Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, November 19. Lightning struck a cowshed at Onaero, between Waitara and Urenui, this morning, and a young farm-hand named Thompson was rendered temporarily unconscious. It was said by those in the shed that a blue flame seemed to run up Thompson's side. He soon recovered from the shock. Boisterous weather was experienced throughout North Taranaki, a high wind being accompanied by heavy showers. Lightning in the Onaero district exploded some electric light bulbs and radio val-es, and interfered with telephones. In a few cases the power was cut off for a short period. Heavy seas are running on the coast at Moturoa. A dinghy broke adrift from a moored launch and was smashed on the rocks. Elsewhere the damage was very slight. A few trees were uprooted and one window blown in at Okato.
