JUDGMENT FOR CROWN By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, October 19 Judgment for the Crown was delivered to-day by Mr Justice Reed in the action brought by the Colonial Ammunition Company cl iming £6193, alleged to be short paid by the Crown in respect of the purchase of ammunition. Costs were allo-ved respondent according to the scale, and the disbursements are to be ascertained by the Registrar. The question raised related to a contract entered into in 1924 for the supply of small arms ammunition -» Dominion requirements, as to whether there should be added to the contract price exchange in order to arrive at the price payable by the Crown. Suppliant contended that in respect to the years 1936 and 1937 the current War Office price should be converted into New Zealand currency. His Honour lipheld the contention of the Crown that the number of pounds paid in London were to be the same ' i New Zealand.
