FEE FOR SHOWGROUND CONNECTIONS A recommendation by the General Committee that the fee for show ground connections at Timaru be increased to £1 in view of double time having to lie paid, was approved by the South Canterbury Power Board at its meeting yesterday. The Finance Committee recommended that an application for a reduction in charges by the Waimate Post ' Hee be not granted. The recommendation was approved, the chairman, who presented a report on the matter, dissecting on the grounds that the charges were unjust and excessive.
