ORCHESTRAL CONCERT
The second concert of the season was given by members of the Timaru Orchestral Society in the Theatre Royal last night before a large and representative attendance. The stage was decorated with boughs of flowering cherry in tall green jars and along the foot-lights were small vases filled with greenery. Mrs W. I. Tait, who was one of the soloists wore a frock of green and flame shot moire made with a very full skirt and bodice with cross-over effect. Mrs G. A. Martin and Miss Bernadette Mangos acted as accompanists. Mrs Martin’s nut-brown georgette frock was made with a deep flounce forming elbow sleeves, and Miss Mangos wore a frock of black panne velvet.
Mrs Tait received several beautiful bouquets. Those present included Mr and Mrs G. H. Andrews Mr and Mrs H. Holdgate, Mr and Mrs P. W. Rule, Mr and Mrs Hyde, Mr and Mrs A. E.
