OBITUARY
MR R. C. TAPPER By Telegraph—Press Association ROTORUA, October 5. The death occurred this morning of Mr C. R. Tapper, a well-known resident of the Rotorua district, aged 69. He came to Rotorua from Tauranga some days after Tarawera Eruption, and since 1912 he had been proprietor of a well-known private hotel. Before that he had managed licensed hotels in Rotorua and Whakatane. He was a member of the Rotorua Borough Council from 1927 until 1929, and was closely connected with a number of sports bodies in the district. He was a foundation member and first president of the Motutara Golf Club, and a foundation member of the Rotorua Orphans Club. PROFESSOR ST. CLAIR-SYMMERS United Press Association—By tSlect-rl? He trained Glare and Beeline.
