SUCCESSFUL CONCERT

The stage at the gymnasium of Craighead Diocesan School was hung with green curtains and decorated with bowls of forsythia and daffodils for the very successful concert which took place there last night. The evening was organised by the vice-president of the Old Girls’ Association, Miss Dorothy Walton, assisted by Misses Mary White, Dorothy Cameron, Janet Murchison, Nancy Bond, and Dorothy Raymond, and was in aid of school f'mds.

The programme was very much enjoyed and the committee are deserving of credit for their keenness in helping their old school, and for the thoroughness with which they carried out all the arrangements. At the conclusion of the concert the performers were entertained at supper.

The programme included Glees by members of the South Canterbury Women’s Club, conducted by Mrs W. I. Tait, and accompanied by Miss Marion Hay; pianoforte duos by Mrs N. D. Mangos and Miss Bernadette Mangos; pianoforte duet by Misses Audrey Holdgate and Dorothy Walton; sc igs by Mrs W. I. Tait, Miss Nancy Bond and Miss Audrey Holdgate. The play by members of the Cave Drama League was produced by Mrs G. Rich and Miss M. Inglis.
