SIR HUBERT WILKINS REPORTED MISSING United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received September 21, 6.30 p.m.) EDMONTON, September 20. The possibility that Sir Hubert Wilkins (who is making a search for the missing Soviet airmen) crashed near Aklavik is seen by Captain W. R. May, the Canadian Airways and Mackenzie district superintendent, following an Aklavik radiogram from Pilot Arthur Rankin stating that Sir Hubert Wilkins’s radio had faded out- immediately after the message stating that he was landing on the Mackenzie delta on his way to Aklavik. The radio could be worked either from the ground or the air. SEARCH PARTY SAFE REPORT FROM EXPLORERS’ CLUB United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received September 21, 6.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, September 21. The Explorers’ Club announces that a message from the Canadian Airways states that Sir Hubert Wilkin and his party are .‘life at a small lake near Aklavik.
