ENGLISH GIRLS IN TRAINING LONDON, August 24. Sea Rangers, girls over the age of 16, from 35 counties to the British Isles, to the number of 270, are undergoing a week's instruction on the training ships Implacable and Foudroyant, in Portsmouth Harbour. The girls are carrying out the ordinary ship routine and rising at 6.30 a.m. to learn boat-sailing, rowing, swimming, knotting, and splicing and manning the capstan, with a fiddler playing on the capstan head in the traditional manner.
