NOTABLE IMPROVEMENTS MOOTED Brltlsb Official Wireless (Received September 9, 6.30 p.m.) RUGBY, September 8. Tire London North-Eastern railway is erecting large signs at points of interest along the track, such as county boundaries, the halfway mark on the east coast route between London and Edinburgh, and the boundary between England and Scotland, for the information of passengers. Big changes are being made in the underground stations and connections at King’s Cross, which are used by forty million yearly. There will be ten entrances to the combined station at various points around the roadway junction in front of the London northeastern station, and the resulting subways will make a valuable contribution to the safety of pedestrians. The reconstruction will eventually provide for a better connection between the metropolitan and country line trains which at Present end at Baker Street with an inner circle, and the city trains.
