MAN HUNT

SUCCESSFUL SEARCH IN MOUNTAINS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph— Copyright SAN FRANCISCO, August 23. A Mercer (California) message states that a two days’ man hunt in the mountains, in which an aeroplane, horses, dogs and trackers collaborated, ended in the arrest of a Spaniard, Ygnacio Ayerza (51) who is charged with shooting dead his daughter Theresa (18) and also her fiance, Jillian Galan (32). It is alleged that Ayerza and his wife were driving the couple to the wedding, when Ayerza quarrelled with Gaian, and shot him and Theresa. Ayerza fled to the mountains, which the pursuers surrounded, closing in in response to signals from an aeroplane.
