A WESTPORT PETITION Dy Telegraph—Press Association WESTPORT, August 10. A lietition with more than 1.000 signatures, including those of members of local bodies, miners, farmers and others, has been fonvarded to the Prime Minister urging the appointment of Mr H. R. Young to the Legislative Council in view of his special geological knowledge of the Buller district.
