REQUEST FOR ART UNION By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, August 10 A sympathetic hearing was given by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon. W. E. Parry) to representations by a deputation from the Egmont National Park Board. He undertook to consider giving the Board permission to hold a district art union in order that it might meet its liabilities, and hinted at the possibility of taking legislative action to prevent the breeding Of goats, which were causing destruction in the bush. The deputation asked for assistance in the payment of the final debt on the Plateau Road to the ski-lng grounds, 4000 feet up. and also requested the Government to assist the Dawson Falls Committee to pay £2OO incurred in replacing the electric light plant destroyed by flood.
