WRESTLING

FRIDAY'S CONTEST Norman (“Rusty”) Wescoatt, Hawaiian wrestling and swimming champion, and Chief Little Wolf will meet in a professional wrestling heavyweight wrestling bout in Timaru on Friday night. Little Wolf, who made himself famous by introducing the I Indian deadlock, is a most colourful! personality, whose ring performances are invariably marked by spectacular ■ and unorthodox touches. Though comparatively short in build, Little Wolf weighs over 16 stone and has great strength and speed. Wescoatt has distinguished himself at a variety of sports, but one of his outstanding achievements was to establish a record for the long-distance swim across the entrance to San Francisco Harbour. He is a master of ju-jltsu and several other wrestling styles and, as he is 6ft 2in in height and weighs 17 stone, it will be recognised that he is a highly formidable proposition. Reserves open to-day.
