The American syndicate was represented in Australia by a Denver mining man, Mr Seth Terry. It was rumoured that the Americans proposed to buy the majority of the stock in the Australian air lines, including Quantas, the Empire-Australian National, and the Macßobertson Miller Guinea Airways, merging them into a single company.
