PLAN TO DEFEND RENTES United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—copyright PARIS, July 20. The Cabinet has decided to create a fund to defend the price of Rentes, which it does not intend to convert. The expenditure for 1938 will be reduced by £28,000,000. M. Layberie has resigned the Governorship of the Bank of France. M. Fournier will replace him. This Is considered to be a sop to orthodox financial interests.
