In the Empire match at Bisley, which Australia and Britain won four times each, opened in good light, with little wind. The conditions are ten shots at 300, 500 and 600 yards. These were shot to-day, and the 800, 900 and 1000 yards will be shot to-morrow. At the end of the 300 yards, Australia and Britain were level, with 374. Canada and India, the only other competitors, were 365. There was a magnificent teams shoot at 500 yards, at which the first four dropped only four points, and two made the possible. This gave Australia a lead, with 378 ,and an aggregate of 761, Britain 756, Canada 744, and India 732.
