NOT APPRECIATED

LENIENCY OF COURT By Teleernnh-Pres® Association WELLINGTON, July 19 Within a fortnight of his appearance before the Court charged with the unlawful conversion of seven motorcars, a youth aged 18, described as a labourer, appeared before Mr W. F. Stillwell, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court to-day, charged with two further offences of the same kind. He was committed to the Borstal for a period not exceeding three years.

The police said that one of the cars belonged to a doctor and contained instruments which the doctor needed urgently. The youth apparently did not appreciate the leniency granted to him on the previous occasion.
