ROYAL VISIT

Dining a visit to Wales the King and Queen will drive through the mining villages of Glamorgan and see something of the Ilves of the people who experienced the industrial depression in the most acure form. Last night the King and Queen went to the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden and saw the Ballets Russes. WIDE TOUR IN WALES IMPORTANT ENGAGEMENTS PLANNED United Press Association—By Electric TelPtrronh Cnovrlght (Received July 14, 11.55 p.m.) LONDON, July 14 The King and Queen last night in a train began a two-days 250-mlle tour of Monmouthshire in South Wales, starting from Newport, where the King cut the first sod in the new civic centre. They journeyed to Cardiff by car where they watched a display In the park by 8000 children. Other engagements will take them to Swansea, where they will pass through a number of depressed areas, Including Pontypridd, Mountainash, and Aberdare. After tea the King and Queen will inspect the famous Brangwyn panels in the Swansea Guildhall, before taking train for Aberstwyth, where they will tour next morning.
