Gilda Gray is suing Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer for £50,000. She claims that she was offered a large part in “The Great Ziegfeld” on condition that she played a small one in “Rose Marie.” She appeared in “Rose Marie,” but her scenes were cut out of the final version of “The Great Ziegfeld.” She claims the £50,000 as recompense for great injury to her professional reputation.
