Regret that the New Zealand embargo on stock from Britain has not been lifted was expressed by Mr G. B. Denner, leader of the New Zealand and South African farmers touring France, speaking at a luncheon tendered the party by Mr Thomas Cook. "I think it is a great mistake that New Zealand is not opening her doors to cattle from England. Many people at home are adopting a wrong attitude.” The party hopes to inspect the quarantine station here and gather vital Information concerning the question of removing the ban. Mr W. J. Jordan and officials of the company referred to the value of such tours and hoped it would be followed by others.
