TIMARU REVENUE BUOYANT FIGURES COMPARED The total revenue handled at the Pott of Timaru during the month ended yesterday was nearly £3OOO more than was the case in June 1936, all sources, with the exception of sales tax, showing increases on the returns of twelve months ago. Sales tax fJr the quarter, however, showed an increase of almost £BOO on the corresponding period last year and while the halfyearly return was nearly £lOOO better than during the first six months of 1936. An increase of about £3OOO in miscellaneous transactions for the six months was offset by a corresponding decrease in revenue from patrol tax and the total receipts at the Port to last night showed ah increase of £590 on those collected at June 30, 1936.
