Fig Chutney.—4lb. figs, 31b tomatoes, 31b. onions, 31b. brown sugar, 11b. sultanas, loz garlic, loz. chillies, 2 tablespoons salt, 1 tablespoon ground ginger. Put all ingredients into an enamelled or china bowl, cover with vinegar, leave standing overnight, then boil Quickly for 2 houxS.
