RUGBY PLAYER DIES ON FIELD By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, June 24. While playing for the Tapanui High School, at Tapanui, yesterday, in the annual Rugby match with the Lawrence High School, Gordon Buchanan (15) dropped dead. Deceased was the son of Mr David Buchanan, forest ranger, at Tapanui. He was running with the ball, and when collared, collapsed. It is stated that he had been warned not to play football on account of heart weakness.
