TRAINING COLLEGES’ ATHLETIC TOURNAMENT By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, June 22 The annual athletic tournament between teams representing the Christchurch and Dunedin Training Colleges began to-day. The programme opened with the swimming section in the morning and Christchurch made a good start by scoring 20 points to Dunedin’s 17, thus taking the first two shield points. Dunedin evened the score with a comfortable win at lawn tennis, the margin being 13 sets to 3, and the athletic meeting in the afternoon left honours still even, each side scoring 19 points. Dunedin went ahead in the evening, winning four out of the six boxing contests in convincing style. The tournament will be concluded to-morrow with hockey, basketball and Rugby matches. The points to date are:—
