Mr G. T. Park (Christchurch) is at the Grand. Mr A. Reginald Collins (Christchurch) is a guest at the Grosvenor. Visitors staying at the Dominion are Messrs R. A. Dodson (Wellington), C. Rhodes (Dunedin), W. Kirk (Gore), T. L. Tidswell and E. C. Rawnsley (Christchurch). Life membership of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce has been conferred on Mr John Myers, who was elected a member of the Chamber in 1917, and for eight years served on the council. He was president of the Chamber in 1931-32. Messrs S. Gibson (Palmerston North), Geo, Grant Jnr. (HakataramSa), Jas Grant (Otaki), E. D. Studholme (Bay of Islands), J. Guthrie, W. J. Barnett, F. D. Sargent, L. W. Hitchens and W. Bain (Christchurch) are registered at the Grosvenor. Messrs A. Kofeed, J. Rhodes, H. McLaughlan (Dunedin), M. EVans, J. J. Kneale, A. J. Palmer, G. J. Gubbin (Christchurch), M. Arnaud, E. P. Solomon and H. Connor (Wellington) are staying at the Empire.
Mr W. E. G. Paqualin, who has been manager of the Palmerston North branch of the Union Bank of Australia for the last two years, has been transferred to Dunedin on promotion. ’Mr J. B. Stewart, formerly of the Whakatane branch, is Mr Paqualin’s successor. The former All Black, George Nepia, who for the last year has been playing League football in England, is returning to New Zealand aboard the Rangitiki, due on June 5, according to advice received by his relatives, states a Press Association message from Gisborne.
