NEW LBW RULE ADOPTED MAJOR ASTOR ELECTED J PRESIDENT OF M.C.C. United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 6, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 5. The M.C.C. at a special general meeting unanimously adopted the new leg-before rule. Major J. J. Astor was elected president, and Lord Somers, Messrs G. C. Newman, W. Finlay and E. R. T. Holmes were elected to the committee.
