Tile fact that in the absence of eye witnesses, the evidence did not provide a clear idea of the cause of the accident, was commented on by the Coroner, Mr E. J. Hill, at the inquest touching the death of Timothy James Pitt (19). bank clerk, who died from the effects of a fractured skull following a collision between his motor-cycle and a motor car .driven by Bernard O'Connor Gallagher (23). The accident occurred at an intersection in the borough on March 29, and Gallagher, who was injured, has been in hospital. The Coroner, returning a verdict that death was due to cerebral haemorrhage, the result of a collision, expressed the opinion that Gallagher exercised care at the intersection, which he described as dangerous-
