SOCIAL EVENING Members of the Presbyterian Church and Girls’ Guild met at the home of Mr and Mrs G. N. Reid, “The Manse,’ Orari, on Tuesday evening to honour Miss Maude Stevens, whose marriage will take place shortly. The time passed pleasantly with competitions and musical items. Those who contributed items were: Mrs Reid, Miss M. Killoh and L. Stewart. Mr G. N. Reid then asked Miss Stevens to accept an eiderdown in appreciation of her work from members of the congregation and wished her every happiness in the future. I "iss Killoh, on behalf of the Girls’ Guild, then spoke of the valuable work Miss Stevens had done for different organisations of the church and presented her with a pair of pyrex dishes. Mr G.
