The weather was fine and the wicket good. Bradman won the toss and the L uith Australians batted. In the first innings they made 182 (Whittington 30, Bradman ‘3l, Hamence 35). Fleet-wood-Smith took six wickets for 66 runs and McCormick three for 56. Victoria in the first innings have made 97 for two wickets (Rigg 33, Lee, not out, 42).
