WRECK OF LAUNCH
THREE SURVIVORS RECOVERING Culled Press Association—By Electric Telegraph— Copyright SYDNEY, March 8. The three survivors from the wreck of the 32-foot launch Voyager, which was washed ashore at the foot of the cliffs between North Head and Blue Fish Point on Saturday afternoon, namely, Edward Brown (31), Alfred O’Brien (44) and Alfred Powney (41), are now recovering in the Manly Hospital. Powney was rescued by five members of the Manly Surf Club, who went out to him in a surfboat. He had drifted nearly six miles from the scene of the wreck. He collapsed when hauled into the boat. Names of Victims Tlie names of those drowned are believed to be:— Thomas snow (about so). Edward Dewhurst (35). Albert Johnson (23). Thomas Robinson (about 40), Thomas Gray (42). James Lavery (29). The body of one man, believed t> be that of Snow, was washed ashore almost naked, and dreadfully battered. Searchlights from tfle military reserve at South Hear! and from Captain Cook played for hours on the cliff face late last night, while Inspector Wenham, of the Manly Police, who had collapsed from fatigue during the efforts to rescue the survivors, was hauled to the top of the cliffs.
