AMERICAN PROPOSALS UNDER FIKE United Press Association—By na—trie Telegraph—Copyrlpbt (Received March 7. 6.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, March 5 The House of Representatives passed the Naval Supply Bill, after defeating an amendment, which would have requested President Rosevelt to call a Disarmament Conference including representatives of Britain, France, Japan, Germany, Italy and Russia to “halt the mad naval race.” Following the defeat, the amendment may be again submitted in the form of a resolution. The Navi 1 Bill provides for 130,000,000 dollars, to complete the construction of two battleships, eleven cruisers, 48 destroyers, 17 submarines, 29,186,000 dollars for aeroplane construction, which will give the Navy 397 new 'planes by June 1938. The Bill now goes to the Senate.
