INCREASED BUSINESS By Telegraph —Pre»F Mso-'istlon INVERCARGILL, March 6. Speaking at a social given in his honour by the railwaymen, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan said that despite the restrictions imposed because of infantile paralysis, the railway business had increased. The position compared with last year would be:— Revenue £7,741,000. an increase of £736 684. Expenditure £6,834,000, an increase of £BBl,OOO. The additional staff engaged as a result of the introduction of the 40hour week totalled 1425, and approximately 200 were still required to complete the staffing position.
