QUOTATIONS ON SMITHFIELD FURTHER DECLINE IN LAMB PRICES The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board advises that the following are the approximate average prices realised for the week, based on actual transactions of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of meat mentioned and are for representative parcels of the goods offering during the week, being for business done on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market, and/or ex London stores:— (Prices for the two previous weeks are also shown). Lamb market. — Prices easier on heavier supplies. The colder weather is affecting the demand. Mutton market—Wethers and ewes are meeting with a fair demand with prices steady. Frozen beef. —Prices steady owing to short spot stocks. Chilled beef.—Market for fores is firm but for hindquarters it is weaker. Supplies from all sources are rather heavy. New Zealand porker pigs.—Trade quiet with prices easier. New Zealand baconer pigs.—Market a shade firmer on better inquiry. DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENTS By Telegraph—Preaa Association WELLINGTON, March 7.
