An aeroplane accident occurred at Mascot aerodrome to-day, jn. which Squadron Leader D. Stodart was injured internally. Accompanied by a Japanese pupil, Stodart took off and began to ascend when one wheel of the machine fell to the ground. The pilot, unaware of the mishap, circled the aerodrome for a few minutes and, when he was attempting to land, the machine capsized.

. The Japanese, who was unhurt, released Stodart, who was sent to hospital. The machine was not severely damaged. Stodart was a competitor in the Melbourne centenary air race.
