SITE OF THE BATTLE OF WATERLOO.— Lion Mound, on the site of the Battle of Waterloo. Special legislation was passed in Belgium in 19 14 to protect the site of the historic battle, but provincial authorities now propose road works which would alter the appearance of the area, a matter which is causing concern in British and Belgian circles.
