OUTLINE OF REHABILITATION PLAN By lelpumph - Pres.” Association WELLINGTON, March 4. The Minister of Industries and Commerce, in a statement issued to-day, gives details of the material proposals of the plan for the rehabilitation of the flax industry. Minimum prices are to be declared from time to time and mills are to be licensed. Marketing is to be under State control. Protection will be provided for the development of the domestic textile industry and control, if considered necessary, will be taken of the level of royalties on flax. A research organisation with a Government area for growing various kinds of flax and a mill with an experimental section and a commercial section of approximately 300 tons capacity per annum, will be established and an industrial committee be set up under the Efficiency Act. An announcement also is gazetted today that any person or organisation affected may forward any recommendation or rejection in writing within one month.
