In the Wellington provincial croquet tournament championship doubles final, Mesdames Caldow and Henderson beat Mesdames Manton and Johnson 26-24. In the handicap doubles final, Mesdames Sivyer and Miller beat Miss McKenzie and Mrs Jackson 26-21. SOUTHLAND TOURNAMENT Special to “The Timaru Herald.” GORE, February 16. The Southland croquet tournament was concluded with the final handicap singles to-day, Mrs McLeod defeating Mrs Caverhill 26-24 in a thrilling finish. Both players are members of the Gore Club. The tournament winners were:— Championship Singles—Mrs W. N. Cole (Dunedin). Championship Doubles—Mesdames G. McLeod and A. T. Pettigrew (Gore). Handicap Singles—Mrs McLeod (Gore). Handicap Doubles—Mesdames McLeod and Pettigrew (Gore).
