HONOURS FOR AIRWOMAN.— Miss Jean Batten, New Zealand’s intrepid airwoman, who has been awarded the Royal Aero Club’s Britannia Trophy for the best flight of 1936, in recognition of her flight from England to New Zealand. Miss Batten, who is seen above at the controls of her aeroplane, also won the trophy in 1935. Miss Batten's flight has also won for her the Seagrave Trophy for the most outstanding demonstration in 1936 of the possibilitities of transport by land, air or water.
