BENCH ISSUES WARNING Bv Telegraph—Pres* Association CHRISTCHURCH, January 28. William Geoffrey Snook, aged 30, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to-day to using his premises, 143 Opawa road, as a common gaming house. He was fined £35. Snook, who had been before the Court In January, 1933, for a similar offence, was warned by Mr E. C. Lewey, S.M., that if he were caught again he would not be given the chance of paying a fine. Detectives, it was stated, had raided the accused’s premises and found him taking bets over the telephone, and there was betting paraphernalia in the room.
