FINDINGS OF CORONER By Telegraph —Press Association NAPIER, January 28 At the inquest into the death of Timothy McCarthy, whose sudden passing prior to Christmas was the cause of many wild rumours, a verdict was returned that death was due to natural causes. At the inquest into the death of Norman Edward Christofferson who had his neck broken when thrown from a lorry when it went down a bank near Napier, resulted in the Coroner returning a verdict that death was due to pneumonia following the severance of the spinal column. A third inquest concerned the death of a single woman named Mary Gunn. The police stated that they had failed to trace her movements prior to her fatal illness. Death from septicaemia was the verdict returned.
