MEETING OF SUB-CENTRE At the weekly meeting of the South Canterbury Sub-Centre information was received from the Canterbury Centre regarding the visit of the Japanese athletic team. The Sub-Centre placed a proposal before the Canterbury Centre and suggested that the Japanese team should compete in Timaru. A programme was drawn up for the South Canterbury amateur athletic championships which will be held at the Caledonian Grounds. Owing to the grounds at Temuka and Timaru not being available tomorrow, the meeting as arranged was cancelled.
