DEATH ANNOUNCED By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN. December 27. Mr James Edgar, whose residence in Otago had extended over more than 60 years; died on Saturday at the age of 80. He was a prominent figure in insurance circles, and for more than 28 years was general manager of the Victoria Insurance Company. He was well-known as a bowler and in other forms of sport, and served for a long period as a deacon of Knox Church. The death occurred on Saturday of Mr Keith Mitchell, aged 41, who in July, 1935, in association with Mr Walter Blundell, won a prize of £12,000 in a lottery. He was formerly employed by Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., and for some years past had been head of the tea department of Rattray and Co. He leaves a widow and several young children. ___
