The Brussels correspondent of “The London Observer” says: The Premier of Luxembourg conferred with the Government. It is believed that he is anxious for closer political contact with Belgium, and also to secure the extension of the British guarantee to Luxembourg. It is understood that France is prepared to include Luxembourg In the guarantee offered to Belgium.

Newspapers point out that Luxembourg provides an ideal line of passage for German troops attacking the Maginot Line along the Belgian frontier.
