FIVE O’CLOCK PARTY
DR. AND MRS P.B. BENHAM FAREWELLED Dr and Mrs P. B. Benham, who have made their home in Pleasant Point for several years are leaving shortly to live in Welington and on Saturday afternoon Mrs C. A. Paterson, Sefton Street, and Mrs J. W. Fair, Douglas Street, entertained their friends at a very cheery five o’clock party at the home of the former. The rooms were artistically arranged with bowls of sweet-peas and, polyanthus roses. Mrs Paterson wore a trained frock of black georgette patterned in green beige and rose and made with cape effect. Mrs Fair’s navy blue suit was relieved at the neck with a bow of white crochet, and was worn with a high crowned hat of blue straw with white band. Mrs Benham wore a tunic suit of black jersey cloth relieved with white, a black straw hat and silver fox furs.
