SEASONAL WORK

SCARCITY OF LABOUR By Telegraph - Press Association OAMARU, November 27. The difficulty being experienced by farmers in getting men to accept seasonal farm work was discussed by the Waltaki County Council to-day. Several members stated that it was ridiculous that men vere on county relief work while farmers were crying out for labour. The department had been unable to find men for turnip thinning, and shearers were In very short supply.

Cr. J. S. Adams said that men on relief were not prepared to accept casual farm work, preferring regular relief work.
